East Kent Urgent Treatment Centre Alliance

Invicta Doctor logo

In East Kent an alliance was formed with four other providers to manage four urgent treatment centres (UTCs) across the area.

The UTCs were introduced in 2020 and we have three - in Ashford, Canterbury and Margate - which operate on a 24/7 basis. Our fourth UTC - in Dover - operates for 12 hours a day.

Invicta Health provides General Practitioners and clinical support for the Urgent Treatment Centres based in Kent & Canterbury Hospital and Buckland Hospital (Dover).

Our alliance brings together a unique combination of general practitioners, out of hours providers, NHS 111 and secondary care providers to support a truly integrated service and make sure that our patients experience a seamless service.

We are proud to be working with Integrated Care IC24, East Kent Hospitals Foundation Trust, Ashford Clinical Providers, and Thanet Health CIC to deliver these services for our patients.

What is the GP service at Kent and Canterbury Hospital?

The GP service at Kent and Canterbury Hospital provides expert medical care for patients presenting to urgent care centre with primary care presentations or minor illnesses. It works closely with nurse practitioners and support staff to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner to ensure effective patient flow.

Our Goals

To ensure patients receive a swift and seamless assessment and treatment by the right healthcare professional to meet their clinical needs.

Our Vision

Invicta Health is working closely with our commissioners, out-of-hours provider, and general practice to develop an integrated urgent care system which enables patients to be seen at the right place at the right time by the right health care professional.
